On Monday last week, my two friends and I were collected from Abbey Beach
Resort to go on the Bush Tucker Wine and Brewery Tour.
Gary cared for us and others on the bus and made the day a delightful
experience.
The three wineries and the brewery were very worthwhile visits and tasting
pleasures, and the lunch he served at Knotting Hill Winery was truly
excellent.
As well as his knowledge of the area, wines and food, he was fun to have as
our host.
I would like you to sincerely thank him on our behalf.

I just got back home from a couple of days away down
south. While we were there my friends and I went on a Bushtucker Tour.
We had Brian as our tour guide. We only had a small group , but it was well worth the money. I will recommend this tour to any one. Please pass on a big thankyou to Brian for me.
P.S food was great too. I will have to do it again one day

My family and I came down to Margaret River for the Bush Tucker Canoe Tour on Monday 25th January 2010.
Just wanted to pass on that it was the best trip ever!. Kris our tour guide was awesome and he made our adventure. I am telling everyone back home in Perth about this amazing day, I know two families that are looking at coming down to do it.
Thanks heaps for providing such an amazing experience. Will look forward to doing the wine tour next year when we come down again. Will definitely be booking again.

Hi Everyone, and particularly our tour guide Gary,
Thanks so much for a brilliant tour on Saturday. We all had a fabulous time, really enjoyed the venues, and were so impressed with the way that Gary managed to keep a potentially very rowdy bunch under control without losing his sense of humour! Surprisingly hangovers were not too bad the next day amongst the boys, and the campsite remained tranquil and undisturbed that evening.
Our thanks too to the wine farms who so gallantly hosted us. It's our hope that the young people they so nobly entertained, might be the wine connoisseurs of tomorrow, although it's hard to imagine that today. However, I know everyone enjoyed visiting the wine estates, and some of them have since commented to us that they got a lot out of the experience, despite their lack of knowledge about wine in general. Lunch at Knotting Hill was great (I'm thanking them in a separate email) and of course the breweries were a big hit.
Dave and I enjoyed the day immensely, and it was a pleasure having Gary around to chat with.
This is our third Bushtucker Tour, and we shall definitely continue to recommend you.

My wife and I did the winery tour with Garry on Monday (26th October) and would like to express our thanks for a wonderful day.
We are from the Gold Coast and have done winery tours in the Granite Belt of QLD and northern NSW (Stanthorpe & Tenterfield) but we are in awe of Garry’s professionalism and knowledge (and stand-over tactics) and had an absolute ball!!
As is the case in the real world, we got the tip-off about Bushtucker Tours from friends – you can’t beat word of mouth because if it ain’t true then people won’t tell others.
Congratulations on a well-run tour and thanks again to Garry for making it a memorable day for us all (Aussies, Alaskans, Swiss honey-mooners, Poms, Irish, et al)

The tour itself is great. It was beautiful paddling up that river! But, it was George who made the day outstanding! He was fun, interesting and captured our attention all day. He showed us some amazing things and the lunch he prepared was awesome.
We are always handing out your brochures, trying to refer people your way because we had been on the wine tour before.
Now we have been on the canoe tour, we can tell people all about that too!

We would like to let you know what a fantastic day we had on the Cave & Canoe Tour on Thurs 15th April with our wonderful guide Kris. Not only did it turn out to be a beautiful day (after the storms on the Tues) but canoeing up the river was very luxurious (except for the race back for the wine!!! Bit sore that night), we found the historical information very interesting and learnt a few things along the way we didn’t know, and the lunch was wonderful – even the grub or two we had. We have told a few friends about the tour and we hope that next time we come down that way to do it again.
So thanks again to Kris for the fantastic adventure.

| We had the most fantastic Anzac day this last Sunday 25.04.10, we had the most fun in a longtime and were able to share it with our relatives from NSW central coastand a bus load of happy people from all walks of life. The wine trip was soo Good all to the wonderful driver IAN, wineries, choc factory, cheese factory bootleg brewery and a great lunch. I will be highly recommending to our guesta at the Grand Mercure in Busselton. 6 star DAY. |

I would just like to say how great the Winery Tour was that I went on with my partner last bank holiday weekend. We were with Kris on the Sunday tour and he was exceptional at bringing the whole group together (a quality that is rare to find!).

My 3 friends and myself (we are all 19) recently went on a Gourmet Bush Tucker and Winery Tour last Wednesday on the 30th of June and we all felt it was necessary and very much deserved to write an email and say how fantastic it was! We loved every minute of the tour and had an awesome day! We all learnt so much about wine which is very useful as two of us work in the hospitality industry! The lunch provided was absolutely delicious and we all tasted foods that we wouldn't usually eat which we found interesting! Also, our tour guide gave us a description of all the different foods which was interesting!
Our tour guide Silvano was so friendly and funny! We all absolutely loved spending the day with him and the other people on the tour! We were so impressed as well as he immediately remembered all the names of the people on the tour! He was also very knowledgeable with information about the margaret river area which is particularly interesting for people from overseas and interstate! So if you could please thank him again from all of us for such a fantastic day!
We will all recommend your tours, in particular this one, to all our friends and family and we are all looking forward to coming back to margaret river in the very near future to do another wine tour! Thanks again for such a fantastic day! |

We just want to provide some commendations on the wine tour we enjoyed on June 26.
The reason we asked for Brian was borne out. His knowledge of the region, education on wine and wonderful sense of humour added to a fantastic day.
We have enclosed a photo of the group including Brian surrounding one of the “Margaret River cows”. It so happens that our niece (who is identified by being pointed at) was the creator of this cow.

My husband and I went on the Winery/Brewery and Canoe tours in February as part of our honeymoon.
The winery/brewery tour was fantastic and Silvano was the best guide! The next day we did the canoe tour with Kris and that too was fantastic.
At the start of the canoe tour we were presented with a bottle of wine courtesy of Silvano. What a lovely gesture.

Anyone reading this to find out whether or not to go with Bushtucker Tours - DO IT!!!!
I handed in my keys and mobile phone and got away for a couple of days down south and it would not have been what it was without the Bushtucker Tours and Silvano driving the bus.
I will happily admit to not being a wine drinker and I loved the fact that the tour was not just about wine - yes I did buy a bottle though and may very well have been tempted to try more in the future! ;-)
Absolutely fantastic day and I would very highly reccommend it for anyone of any age, although a sense of humour is a must.
I will be booking another tour in the next couple of months tops and can't wait.
Thank you Bushtucker Tours - awesome company and thank you Silvano - I'm sure the day wouldn't have been the same without you.
I beleive the bosses name is Helen? - Congratulations Helen, you have a wonderful business and even though I only met one of your tour guides, I bet you have a fantastic team too!

Last weekend we experienced our second Bush Tucker Tour with tour guide Brian. To sum the experience up in one word "Brilliant". The best tour guide we have ever had.
The day was once again planned to perfection and the bush lunch
provided was fab!
We thank you and Brian for your professionalism and for the fantastic hospitality displayed throughout the day and will be back in October with some interstate relatives and yes Brian is the man for the day.

| We've just come back from a weekend down south and we thought we would treat ourselves to a winery & brewrey tour - Well we are sooooo glad we did because we had the best day!! With 6 of us plus 12 rowdy-ready-for-fun ladies who joined us on the bus we knew we were in for a great day!!! With Awesome George as our wonderful and patient guide we set off on a fantastic day, tasting some beautiful wines, chocies and cheese - and a nice cold beer at the end of the day for the boys!!! Lunch was beautiful and relaxing!!! Many a sing-a-long was sung on the bus!! A fantastic day was had by everyone on the bus and i'm sure that everyone's lung's and cheek's were just as sore as ours from laughing so much all day!! Will be back for sure - Thanks for a great day out Bushtucker tours!!! |

Just a short note to say thank you so much for such a spectacular wine tour in Margaret River. We have done several wine tours around the world and we have to say, yours tops the list. Hi all I have been on your bushtucker tour 3 times now, each time I had a tourist from the UK.The first time was in a very uncomfortable Toyota troop carrier, last 2 times 2009 & 2010. Every trip was fantastic (never mind the troopy). We all had a great time.
Last & this year we had Brian as a guide, now there's a man who really enjoys his job. He really makes you feel welcome & is full of yarns & information. I know that is part of the job but he does it so well & with enthusiasm. THANKS Brian & thanks to all your staff not forgetting Helen, well done.

Hi There,
Just wanted to say a huge thank you for our bushtucker canoe tour that we took our staff on over the weekend.
Everyone had the most fantastic time and Marshy was absolutely unreal. He just capped off a fantastic day out and please pass on our gratitude to him as I know he was doing an extra tour on his scheduled day off , so we really appreciated his company .
There are 14 very happy customers who will now spread the word !!

On October the 2nd a group of girlfriends and myself celebrated my birthday with a bushtucker wine tour. I have finally got around to sending through some photos of our group and our fabulous bus driver Ian! Enjoy!!!
Thanks for a brilliant day. We had an absolutely fantastic time, and are thinking of making it a once yearly thing!

My sister & I had the best time on your canoe tour & wine tour. They say laughter is the best medicine so we must be pretty healthy now as we laughed from the moment we met our tour guides. Chris for the canoe tour & Silvano for the wine tour. I would like to adopt Chris - Im sure his family wont mind!:)
Next time I will book directly with Bush Tucker Tours as I received misinformation from the Margeret River visitors centre.
Where can I buy the Bush Tucker Tour hats?

Hi Helen,
I wanted to send you a email to let you know what a wonderful time my partner and I had on the Bush Tucker tour today at Margaret River. Our tour guide, Silvano, was truly the most welcoming, enthusiastic and friendly guide we have ever had. The variety of places we visited and the breakup of wineries vs brewery vs cheese and chocolate factory made for a very productive day for sightseeing and the day went so quickly!
The day was made all the more delightful by the warm and humorous personality of Silvano and we will be recommending this tour to any friends and family who come this way.

on our recent trip to WA for xmas 2010, we decided to head to Margaret River for a few days and sample some of the local wines. We booked into our hotel and booked straight away on the Bush Tucker Tours. We were the first to be picked up in the morning and was warmly greeted by our tour guide Salvino. We had the most excellent time that day and it ended with big smiles and us wanting to do the tour again! we quickly decided to re-book on Salvino's tour for the next day so we got to see more of the area, and wineries!
We have finnished our holiday and are now back up home in Darwin, and have reccommended to all our family and friends :)
Thank you Salvino for making our two days the best we have had in a long time.....
and remember, there is always one 'les' in the group!!!!!!!!!

I'm taking a moment out to thank you for putting on such a brilliantly operated tour.
Myself and my fiance signed up for the Margaret's River tour in Margaret's River a couple of days ago.
Not knowing what to expect and not being much of a wine drinker, I was nervous to say the least when greeted by Silvano and a coach full of strangers.
But once taking my seat it was clear that the day would be one to rememeber!
We were the last couple to be collected, by which time the individuals on board had already made good friendships and it was clear that all were up for a laugh having been reassured by Silvano.
I was ashonished just how our guide was so alert to each persons name, continuously referring to each of us thoughout the tour.
If it wasn't for Silvano the coach load would not have gelled at all.
He was a great source of knowledge and entertain thoughout. It was clear from where we stopped that those on the other side of the bar thought the same and held him in high regard.
So from start to finish it was a great day out and really one to remember. With Silvano's help we were introduced to some great people, most of which we are still now in contact with.
You can let him know that we will definitely be returning on his tour again when friends and family visit - and we still want to hear his Elvis impression that he speaks so highlly off!
It's not often that we would write an email reviewing a tour, so consider this a full compliment to the company to Silvano.

My wife and myself were on one of your tours on Sunday 23rd Jan, with Geoff the tour guide.
It was a great time and lived up to the feedback and all the information that we gleaned prior to booking with you.
Geoff was really informative and clearly ascertained the “nature” of the guests and worked with what he had.
The 4 winery stops and food were all first rate and very enjoyable.
In our opinion, It was only the cheese factory and to a lesser degree, the chocolate factory stops, were ones that did not really enhance the tour, but we certainly understand the need to promote the region and local businesses.
But overall, great and we would recommend to anybody.

Ian ate the Witchety Grub and has not stopped telling everyone about it. He says it is something someone should do at least once in their lifetime.

Firstly thank you for a very enjoyable day, Silvano was a superb guide and kept the bus entertained, I have enclosed some photographs as requested but they do not do justice to the fantastic day we had.
My wife Amanda will never forget her Witchetty grub experience, which she couldn’t wait to get home to show the kids the photo’s, They love all that stuff!
We also met some lovely people on the trip that day and will hopefully keep in touch with them
So to summarise we had fun, tasted good wines, enjoyed good food, and met new friends.
All in all an excellent day,
Hopefully we will visit Margaret River again in the Future, and we will defiantly be booking another tour with your company.
Silvano was an excellent Guide, who had a lot of knowledge about the area and wines but also had a good sense of humour and excellent people skills.
Thank you again for making our short Break one of the most memorable.

Having beenon your Winery and Canoeing tour on our trip to Margaret River last week, we just wanted to let you know how impressed we were! We have never been on a tour like it - it was incredibly affordable with the 2 tour discount, the endless samples of wine and liqueur, and delightful lunch at the Brookwood winery. I was honestly expecting a bus full of old people and a long, drawn out day full of wine facts. However, from the moment we met our guides, it was quite the contrary.
I will not hessitate to recommend bushtucker to family and friends travelling to Margaret River, and we would not have had the same enjoyable experience if we had attempted to visit the same sights by ourselves.
Please extend a special thank you to both Garry and Kris who went out of their way to make both our trips as enjoyable as possible.
Garry was never short of a good joke (ie chocolate tree) and Kris even got out of the canoe into the muddy wqater to take a photo for us.
Their energy and enthusiasm helped to bond the entire group together - we left with several emails for our new Swedish and English Bushtucker companions, and a sore jaw from smiling too much!

Dear Madam,
My mother, Lillian Pearse, a very spritely 92 year old has just returned from a little holiday in Busselton, she booked to go on one of your bush tucker tours, she had contacted another couple of tour groups but was turned down because she needed her " walker " to go with her. When she was picked up from her accommodation, she was quite apprehensive but the tour guide was absolutlely splendid and made her feel very relaxed and ' looked after '. The guide was only a young man she said and had only been with the company a few weeks, the driver was very informative and entertaining and mum had a very enjoyable time. She wanted me to write this letter as she felt that good service doesn't always get mentioned these days.
I would like to add my thanks as well, it makes such a difference to mums outlook on life to be able to go off and enjoy herself independently.

We had a fantastic time, even with three kids! Brian did a wonderful job of keeping us all entertained (including the kids!), and we met a fantastic bunch of people.

My partner, Daniel, and I would just like to say a massive thank you to Sylvano for a fabulous day on Friday 4 March 2011. We were both in need of a great break to unwind from the daily stresses of life and we found the wine tour very invigorating. Sylvano was really a breath of fresh air.
I have attached a few photos.
The lunch was also excellent and the setting gave us very much a Mediterranean feel.
Once again, many thanks and I will totally recommend this tour just like someone else recommended it to me - thanks to Sylvano's great charm.

We were lucky enough to have Silvano as our guide and I can say that he hosted an absolutely fantastic tour and the quality of the day and the atmosphere was set and enhanced by his friendly, fun and kind attitude. It certainly made us enjoy the day more and will be making sure we recommend the tour to others.

Sharon and I did the Canoe & Cave tour with Gordon and the Wine & Breweries tour with Brian ... what an absolute fantastic time we had on both. Gordon's knowledge of the bush tucker was extraordinary and Brian was the quintessential king of the kids. We and the rest of the party had an absolute fantastic time and cannot recommend Bush Tucker Tours highly enough. Thanks for the terrific time and anyone considering the tours .... go for it! I have been meaning to write and mention that the Bushtucker River and
Wine Tour which we did on 24th February was terrific and my husband and
I really enjoyed the day. A lovely selection of winerys( people very
friendly and informative at all winerys) and also a visit to a brewery.
The day was especially successful as we had a great bloke driving us
around called " Stefan!!!!" ( not sure how to spell his name but he knew
all of our names) and entertained us all from the time he picked us up
to the time he dropped us off. All of us on the bus had a great day -
thanks again!!!!

Hi ...... my son & I were fortunate enough to go on the Bushtucker tour yesterday with Silvano as our tour guide. What a wonderful tour, and a fantastic person to show us the wonderful area of Margaret River & it's attractions. We thoroughly enjoyed all aspects of the tour, and feel that the " Silver Fox" made the tour what it was ..... a great day out!

| The bushtucker Tours was definately the highlight of our WA trip. Tour guides Gordon and Brian had everybody laughing/participating and enjoying themselves. | We went on a Margaret River Wine Tour with George as our Guide, earlier this month. What a fantastic day it was made all the more enjoyable by George who got everyone introduced to each other, which made the day even more fun. I had booked the trip as I had a friend over from the Uk and both of us throughly enjoyed the day which was made even more special by George. We have both travelled extensively and taken many tours, however this is the first time that I have written in to say what a fantastic trip and one that I would highly recommend for anyone who wants to visit Wineries, not drive, and have a memorable day that is made special by a great guide. Thanks Bushtucker and I am already looking at coming again soon so that I can let my husband experience a great time with you!! |

Paul & I joined a small group for the wineries tour with Silvano and Jim. Although we substantially increased the average age on the bus, I think we managed to keep up with 'the youngsters' and had a fantastic time. 'The Silver Fox' and Jim ensured we had a fun and informative day....even down to the dreaded Witjity Grub!!! Well done to those who ate it!!! A delicious lunch set out under a tree was followed by more wineries, breweries, chocolate & cheese factories....wow, what over-indulgence!!!! And at the end of the day we had all had such fun and made friends that we asked to be dropped off at Settlers Tavern in the centre of Margaret River....to continue into the evening!
